The band listings website started putting on weekly showcase gigs at The Fleece in April 2007, and these have been growing in popularity ever since. Note that the showcase gigs are free entry and there is no door money for the bands. What bands do get is exposure, experience in playing to a live audience, access to The Fleece's sound system and promotional outlets. The Evening Post is also supporting these gigs with publicity and reviews.
